Stigbygeln finns i olika varianter och olika färgställningar.
The kit includes all the yarn needed to knit a pullover/cardigan with patterned fronts size XL.
(XL = the size of the garment 117cm / 46 inches around the chest).
We have chosen to also offer yarns in the pattern colors in 25g skeins, so it is easier to get an idea of which colors are included in The Stirrup kit.
The Stirrup is available in different variants and color ways.
Mönstret Stigbygeln designades av Bohus Stickning / Anna-Lisa Mannheimer-Lunn mitten 1940-talet.
Stigbygeln mössa och vantar i röd/grå färgställning återskapades av Kerstin Olsson och Emma Jacobssons dotter; Ingrid Mesterton under 1990-talet. Jumper/kofta i röd grå färgställning återskapades 2021 av Pernille Silfverberg. Som alternativ till ljusgrå bottenfärgen erbjuds stickpaket till jumper/kofta med brunmelerad bottenfärg på armer och bakstyce samt resår och halskant/knappbort.

The Stirrup is originaly designed by Bohus Stickning / Anna-Lisa Mannheimer-Lunn mid 1940th.
The Stirrup hat and mittens in red and gray was recreated by Kerstin Olsson and Emma Jacobssons dotter; Ingrid Mesterton 1990th. The pullover/cardigan in red/gray was recreated in 2021 by Pernille Silfverberg. As an alternative to the light gray main color, it is offered with a natural brown mottled main color for back, sleeves and ribbing.
Specify if you want the light gray main color on all parts; front, back, sleeves and ribbing.
To recreate The Stirrup original charts were closely studied and vintage garments carefully examined in museums and private collections to make sure that the resulting patterns and yarns would match the original Bohus Stickning garments as closely as possible.
Till Stigbygeln är alla garnerna 100% ull. Mönsterfärgerna (förutom de naturfärgade) handfärgade av Pernille efter original Bohus Stickning. Merinoullen är mulesingfri. Bottenfärgen är naturgrå.
For The Stirrup all yarns are 100% wool. The pattern yarns (apart from natural colors) are hand dyed by Pernille to match the original Bohus Stickning pattern colors. We guarantee that the merino wool we use is produced without the controversial practice mulesing. The main color is natural gray.
Alla stickpaket till Stigbygeln jumper/kofta md helmönstrat front innehåller garn så att det räcker till den största storleken XL. Beskrivning följer till jumper/kofta storlekarna S upp till XL.
Stigbygeln stickas nerifrån och upp.
Sticka 2,5 mm, resårkanterna och halskant 2,0 mm.
All pullover/cardigan kits for The Stirrup with patterned fronts contain sufficient yarn to knit the largest size XL. Instructions in English follow for both pullover and cardigan sizes S to XL.
The Stirrup pullover/cardigan is knitted from the bottom and upwards.
Needles US 1.5 (2.5mm) and for the ribbing and neckband US 0 (2 mm).
